Pinnacles National Park Hike Janruary 2015

Some of you may remember the video I posted of a lynx I spotted while hiking in America's newest national park last yr. This video was taken a few days before the lynx spotting, and shows what Pinnacles National park is most famous for: talus caves. The caves in the park were formed by boulders falling into creek canyons over time and blocking out sunlight. Today, the 2 caves each have a bat population living in them. This park was great to explore, and I hope I will stop by again soon. HH and GL

Hi Roscue2.....that place is amazing in the spring.....living a couple hours away we used to do an annual hike. The only thing i caution everyone if they go there is that its hotter than hell in the spring/summer months....gotta start early in the AM and carry water....the only wildlife i saw there was a wild boar(?) playing in the muddy creek at the bottom of the hike...it is dark in the caves for the few minutes it took to go through them and it sure was nice and coool in there.......i liked that short tunnel carved out of the mountain during the depression....

Great video !! brought back many wonderful memories of our hikes there.
