NEED HELP GUYS !! Im wanting to purchase the best , most powerfull waterproof probe for relic hunting .What brand name would that be ?? - thanks

well you could either waterproof a Garrett ProPointer (plenty info out there about how to do this) or you could get a vibra-probe. I have tried various vibra-probes, and have a vibra-quatic myself, but I much prefer a waterproofed ProPointer. The vibra-products are trash in my opinion. It takes too long for then to turn on/off, they have no audio alert, and they accidentally turn on/off when you transport/carry them. This is just my opinion but I will never buy another vibra-product again. I bought mine to strap onto my dive vest but it constantly floats up and turns itself on/off as it pleases. A little bit of epoxy goes a long way with a ProPointer and makes for a fantastic underwater pinpointer. I hope this helps. HH -Marc

I agree. A friend bought a Vibra Probe and it just doesn't have the depth of the ProPointer. If you seal the speaker hole on the ProPointer and put a rubber O-ring under the screw in battery door it is waterproof. As it stands stock Garrett says you can wash it off under water from a faucet. I use mine in some pretty wet conditions without waterproofing it and it has stood the test of time. I couldn't live without my ProPointer these days. I have had Sunray Probes on my Explorers but they are a hassle to use compared to the ProPointer.
