Stand up and be accounted for, I mean a AT Pro Forum????? We all know the G2 SPANKS the AT Pro in iron!!!! I guess Garrett pays more than Teknetics to sponsor the forums. It's a shame to have to .....Lengthen the armcuff, no shaftlocks and then ya gotta buy a special adapter just to use your fav headphones. The G2 comes ready to DESTROY any other machine in heavy iron!!!!!!!...........MO

Makes you wonder.....You do see AT Pros in the classifieds once in a while but hardly ever see and G2's or Gold Bug Pro's....just makes you wonder why people hold on to the G's and GB's longer.......better machines......

John----It might partly be because much of the country is in a "deep freeze" and people that have purchased the GB's & G2's haven't got much of a chance to use them yet so are hanging onto them.--------I think the other reason is that the people that have purchased them are seeing what really great little detectors they really are.-----My wife & I each have G2's & have had the opportunity to use them quite a bit.---I know we aren't about to part with them, at least not until something better comes along---and I think that will take "some doing"! ---They fill a niche for us.---------Del

The G-2 is letting the people that own one know how good they are and that is fine with me. But we can't hunt in a storm. I do hope the Garrett owners are as satisfied with their purchase as I am mine. HH

New detectors so lots of posts.. I solved my dilemma by buying both the Fisher Goldbug Pro and the Garrett ATPro.. Yes, it would be nice to have a forum for the Goldbugs and the G2's..

To start with, were talking here about a small amount of Teknetics detector models being manufactured. Teknetics has the T2, G2, & 4 Frat Bros.detectors, 6 models total.

I got news for ya, Fisher & Teknetics make just as many detectors as Garrett does, Does that make the AT Pro any more special than the G2? At least the G2 is ready to use right out of the box, ergonomicaly better & lighter . It would be like taking the G2 and having the Delta mode installed along with it, so if you get flustrated with the "Pro" mode you could switch it into the "Delta" Mode. I don't want a detector tone that makes me want to go answer the front door when I use it.............MO

Now Mo we usually have to follow somebody that already searched before us. I would much rather come behind a Garrett than a Minelab. It just seems like they don't go as deep. JMHO
