Possible knee buckle...

Found this buckle while tilling my garden last weekend. Seeing the points I thought of a knee buckle. It has the word SOLIDE on the part that pivots. I don't believe it's 18th century, but possibly 19th century? I found a 1838 Large Cent in my backyard a couple of years ago, so I'm thinking this could be quite old. Any ideas on a time period would be appreciated. Couldn't match it on the Internet anywhere.

It's a suspender buckle and could date from the mid 1800's into the early to mid 1900's.
