Possible Washington 1783 half penny!

Went out for a short hunt (2hrs) yesterday to an old site that I have hit many times before. It is an old homestead, just the foundation showing now, but was built in late 1700's and played a local role in the war of 1812. Around 1960 the house burnt down, the rest was torn down and the remains scattered through the surrounding area. It is loaded with iron, nails, roofing tin and thousands of bottle caps.
I found a coin, which according to the detail I can make out and diameter, appears to be a 1783 Washington KM#Tn35.
I am planning on sending it in for verification, but this is the first pre-1900 coin for me for the CTX and the 4th pre-1850 this year, including two with the Exp2 and one with my XT505.
To balance out the report, I spent 5 hours at a local beach (in the water) Friday and didn't even find a penny! Lots of junk, but I need more practice in the water. It was fun to walk right into the water with this thing and not have to worry. I used the wireless and clipped the module to the back of my hat and stayed about waist deep at the most.
I still have lots to learn on the CTX, but I am liking it very much.

Yes please wow what a find! Congrats

Excellent! Congrats on the find. I'm anxious to hear what the "authenticators" have to say about your coin. Please keep us posted. Thanks. HH Randy

Congrats, boy you are a brave man, surf is still to freaking cold for me in NJ LOL i must be a wimp

The coin is very worn. The pics didnt' turn out very good, but you can faintly see the outline of the head and there are some letters on the edge by the bridge of the nose which seem to match the pitcure from the book.
It isn't much to see, most of my old coppers are this way, but it is a 200+ year old coin either way.
I will find out where to send it and let you know what they say.
