Power of the Impact!!

I was out with a buddy who just got an impact. I seen it dig a 1844 Large cent at 10 inches. I could not separate it out with my etrac with the Tornado Coil. He was getting a solid signal at 84. I also seen him did a clad dime at 9 inches good signal. My etrac could barely hear it after he dug 6 inches down. I am starting to be a believer in this machine.

I can confirm it after two months of using Impact. I was tested almost all machines on market... and this toy is my favourite machine with Vista Warrior, Nautilus and Spectra V3i.

He has just had the detector a few days. Wait until he get the hang of it.

How long have you owned the Etrac?

3 years

was the ground heavily mineralized?

Lots of iron. Ground minerals low. It just was able to see pass the mess and hit the 2 targets described above with solid repeatable signals. I could only hear a faint signal with the 9-10 inch down dime after he dug about 5-6 inches. That was with the NEL tornado coil.

For some reason my Etrac, SE PRo, and CTX are not as deep as my Safari,,, only my safari will hit an eight inch dime in my soil. My Impact will also hit the 8 inch dime, i really like this machine. My only thing is i can only get the rod to go a little bit up into the upper rod making it not as compact as i would like it to be, but that is not really a lot to complain about as the detecting capabilities are fantastic.

I owned an ATP for 5 years and loved it. Still will buy another for different hunts. Owned an Etrac for four years. Great machine but with a huge learning curve for me. Impact is now my only machine and it amazes me every time I hunt. I actually don't see another machine in my future that I would rather hunt with. I have found loads of stuff that the ATP and Etrac never saw on the same sites. This is a coin, silver and gold killing tool!
