I use these Male connectors on all my spare coils to protect the female connector when not in use. Shown is Philmore P/N 61-636, 6 pin in-line connector.

Had I researched a little more I could have gotten the Philmore P/N 61-626 Chassis male connector, which is half the size and half the price. However, the connector I got worked out nice to install a lanyard so it stays with the coil at all times, even when in use.

Great idea Frank there been a few times i had to blow out crap in the female connector just from sitting around ,you reminded me that i have a box of plastic chem tube covers they just !! fight tight over the end of the connectors , Thanks Frank :detecting: PS yours sure is fancy lol . HH Jim

Great ideas! Thanks for the posts too. This is part of why I like Findmall so much - people helping out others just by posting their ideas of what works for them.

Stumbled upon your post here. Great idea Frank! Now all I need is huge mug of your outstanding soup to keep me fuled up. Last Sunday's attendees have been talking about your soup all week.

I use these......

I trim the length to what I need.

Dust, dirt, sand, nothing get past these caps.

And there is no struggle to take them off, just pinch and pull.

I forgot to mention my military machine came from the factory with a waterproof protective cap.

It's a bayonet type arrangement.
