Today I found 71 coins (Clad) and some other stuff during a 5 hour hunt in a modern school track field.
This is a record for me. E-Trac was going great today finding those coins.
How many coins have other forum members found in a given amount of time.

Looks like you had a good time !

I dug (117) coins and (2) silver rings in one day last Summer - it was over 90 degree's and very humid - glad I did it - but I'll never do it again !
Now ... if I find one good old coin by the end of the hunt I'm happy - of course finding more than one old one is even better ! :detecting:

E-TRAC-OHIO,
Wow! 117 coins and 2 silver rings in one day. That must be some kind of record.
I'm going back to this High School tomorrow and try to find some rings or jewelry.
Being a newer school, it doesn't seem to have much or any silver coins.

OK, now this was back in the early 70's and very few people even new what a metal detector was let alone own one. I got permission to detect the swimming area at a resort. It was early in the spring and the water was down in the lake so a lot of the bottom was showing. The first day was over 350 coins and the second day was almost 300 coins do not remember exact number. No coin was more then 3 inches down because of hard clay bottom. I do not remember how many silver I found but it was a lot. Along with some gold and silver rings and other jewelry. Best 2 days I ever had.

i like the way you put the numbers on your finds. yesterday i found a wheat that would occasionally read as 6-40. pretty bouncy but "good" numbers.

moonshine,

Thank you. I didn't put target numbers on the coins because there were just too many of them and they were
fairly typical. However, once in a while you get a strange number for a coin. The other non-coin numbers give
you a clue as to what one might find if you see those numbers pop-up on your E-Trac LCD screen.

My biggest total was 232 coins (over $38.00) That was 7hrs of hunting and included several stops at the trash can to empty out the regular assortment of can slaw, bottle caps and pull tabs....but the biggest haul of clad for a single day award has to go to Happyboyd. Look for him on Youtube. 448 coins for a total of $47.93...plus he managed to score a gold ring and some silver!

He's a personal friend of mine and he's a digging machine....and to top it all off he uses a Fisher F2 and does some amazing stuff. He only recently started posting vids. Depth isn't a big concern in our neck of the woods and I'd put him and his Fisher F2 against anybody with any other machine. He's a diggin' machine. Just sayin'. :canadaflag:

Best day I ever had (not with my E-trac) would be 98 coins, two rings, 4 keys and one necklace. All jewelry was basically junk.

So far with my E-trac my best day has been 48 Coins. 6 silvers, 12 wheats the rest just clad. Also found one religious medallion.
