Question about pinpointing?

Hello
I was thinking of upgrading to the Minelab Safari and have been watching videos and reading as much as I can find before I make the purchase. My question is when pinpointing does the Safari show you an estimated depth of the target also?

yes it shows you an estimated depth of the target when pinpointing

It shows you a depth but remember, the depth estimate is based on a coin sized object. It will "tell" you a depth by audio tone as well. If your target is larger than coin size or ccloser to the surface, the tone in pinpoint will be louder.

Agreed, as Surfinsafari writes, calibrated for coin size objects. Lets say the tdi reads 38, seems like a quarter under the coil based on your past recoveries. You go into pinpoint mode and the audio screams as you lower the coil while you're still a foot or more above the target, chances are it's a crushed can . I've found that coins won't scream from that far away from the coil.
