Question addressed to people who bought a new CTX

I was wondering if there is a thin film cover on the meter screen of a new CTX? The reason I'm asking that I picked up 2 slightly used units and both have minor blemishes on the display screen. It looks like they have a film cover, but I don't want to do anything until I get an answer. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems like all new one come with this protective film on the screens, but these seem to come off easy when they are used, or will peel off with no problems. They make many protective cover for the screens that are extras and many get them when you want to take care of you screens. Some dont and if the scratch the screen they are stuck with it, or send then to the Manufacture to see if they can replace them. Most people will put on a screen cover of a film just to protect them when they buy a new one, some for resale and some just to keep them like new and replace them if they sell.

Yes,I found out tonight that there is/was a protective film on the meter screen. Once the film was removed, the meter screen looks like new.

I put a screen saver on years ago and never had to change it. I got at the store five below and it was a universal one for tablets. It works great because its a mat finish and has no glare at all in the sun and impossible to scratch. Wish I can remember the name or find the leftover piece so I can add one to the super glare screen of the Manticore.

Was it a exact fit or you had to cut it too fit?

I cut it with scissors. At the time i got it from five below but they no longer have them, but it was a basic anti glare universal Tablet screen protector. They are flexible and very durable. I recently got one for the manticore because the glare was terrible. It was four dollars from Ebay and I just cut it.(ZenTech Anti-Glare Matte Screen Protector Guard Shield Film For Google Nest Hub) They work good for the glare but took away from the sharpness of the display a bit. Both the ones for the CTX and the manticore can just be peeled off in second and leave no residue of any kind.
