I tried to locate an answer to this question, but I am not sure it's been fully explained - well to the degree I am trying to understand...
I have seen comments that note the Quattro's 'long recovery time', especially in comparison to the Safari. I certainly understand newer technologies etc make the Safari have a quicker response./recovery time.
My question is: If 'hunting' the same area with both a Quattro and a Safari, and a target is identified, how much longer would it take for the Quattro to 'recover' than for the Safari to 'recover'? A few seconds? 20 seconds? Never, and need to turn off the machine?
A little background: I had a Safari, but sold it. Just never got to use it and it was eating me up as it was just sitting. So, am now back to the Quattro or Safari again. I see some 'good deals' on Quattros, and might be willing to buy one. I just hunt for coins and interesting junk. I suppose I am of the opinion that I can be patient and rather be patient with a Quattro (if in fact it is 'slow') than be 'fast' with another brand machine since I respect the Minelab's ability to accurately identify something and save me more time in the long run. Basically, I do not need to go fast over an area - just not up to that level of expereince yet.
Again, if this has already been answered, please direct me to where I might be able to read that information. If not asked previously, then I hope this bears some interesting discussions.
Thanks!
John
