How long does it take to charge the rechargable battery pack on the CTX? (when the pack is pretty much run down)----------Thanks, Del

Couple of hours I recharge mine in the car on the way to and from hunts. Hope that helps Mark Williams

The Li-ion battery comes partially charged from the factory. It could take up a couple hours to fully charge it, initially. After that, depending on how "low" it has become through use, it could take up to four hours to fully charge. There are several LEDs on the charger that tell you the status of the battery...... charger OFF...... charger ON...........charging...... fully charged......etc. HH Randy

Can you also charge rechargeable batteries in the empty pack using the charger? (Or is it like the E-Trac in that, you must add your own batteries already charged?)

For use in the AA pack, high quality alkaline batteries are recommended for optimum detection time. Rechargeable alkaline, NiMH or NiCd batteries may be used but must be removed and recharged separately.
