question on hunting around electric fence

Hi all, I have a question about hunting around a electric cattle fence. I have permission to hunt 2 school house sites that are in farmers pastures surrounded by electric fences. Does anybody have experience with the etrac hunting around electric fences and if so did it effect the etrac at all? Thanks and HH.

Hunt all the time i never have any problem one of my best place is the old cow pastures it has a ton of ef around it hot all the time

I did earlier this year and would get a bleep every time current went thru ... didn't really bother me any .. it did it no matter what channel I was on. once I got 15-20 feet away it went away

if it does end up giving you trouble, would it be possible to just ask if you can unplug it for a while, while you detect, then when youre done just plug it back in. once an animal learns what an electric fence is, it acts as a deterrent....they only touch it once.
