Question on the 6x8" sef coil

I read where the ID NO. change with the 6x8" SEF . Like if the quarter is 12.45 the sef coil said it is another number. With the 6x8" SEF coil what is the ID NO. of a quarter??
 
I own the ET but haven't used it yet - I don't understand why can't you just bench or garden test it and see what you get?

I don't have a 6x8 , I was thinking about getting one.
