question on the e-trac ID

I had a SE and in the trash with a small coil x5 the ID would just stop. Question does the e-trac do this all so?
 
If you are talking about when it grabs onto a signal and won't let it go? Like the meter is stuck, but you hear the changing audio? You move the coil off the target area for a second and then it "resets"? If yes, then I have experienced this with the E-Trac using the stock Pro coil, but never with the Explorer SE. It doesn't happen often enough or chronically enough for me to even worry about it.
