Ray raids central Missouri........

Well-known member
Met up with Ray for some public land hunting in Central Mo. We both done pretty good considering the conditions. Ray got 3 silvers, an indian or two and some wheats plus the usual clad. One of the silver dimes was completely on edge and down a ways. That was pretty impressive to watch him dig that one. I dug a pile of clad plus the items in the pictures. Had a good time. Thanks for coming up Ray.

WOW BILL

Is the Ring Gold? It looks it!
And what is that lovely Silver item at the top of the picture?

Great Finds and no video because of the excitement of Ray's visit..Right?!

Best regards and HH

the Barber dime showed up at the side of hole strait up on edge :) To be honest I was starting to wonder myself lol.

I dont really know what the silver thing at the top is. I do believe the ring is gold. It hit right at the nickel mark. Sorry I didn't film this one. I wanted to watch the master in action. Lol.......

I KNOW I KNOW HAHAHA

The silver dodad looks to be from a bridle or saddle, or possibly some Fair queens chaps or something. Idigid

Here is a closeup of the markings. Dont know if its 3 M's or W's. Anyone know about this type of markings.

Handle tons of jewelry, never saw that one. There appears to be some pitting , that would indicate plate or filled. Sorry. Good day though. HH Mike

Those markings on your ring could be initials of the wearer or maybe a maker's mark. They do not resemble any known metallurgical hallmark that I am familiar with. Congrats on the finds, looks like you two had a lot of fun.

Really, when do you find time to work Bill? ehehe
Congrats again,
EMS

I work a full time job....I am thankfull for that. A lot of people are out of work...... I try to get out as much as I can on the weekends or holidays.......;o) During the summer when it stayed light longer it was nice. Could even get out after work too.....

Yes, I hear that from my family back in the States. Times are tough for lots of people and I wasn't meaning my words literally. Germany is still doing pretty good but with the economic problems in the surrounding countries things don't look good here as well.

I teach PT so actually have lots of extra time to hunt. I'm uploading a video now. Bill, got to thank you big time for your words on the E-Trac. Had my best day ever today. Great depth today, I was shocked again and again. You and Southwind gave me some nice words on trying the E-Trac. I'm a believer!

Glad you are liking it. There is nothing else like it. I would not have told you about it if you were living near me but your in Germany so my areas are safe....Lol
