Received my X-5 coil today

I performed a few test in the yard this evening. This coil is a real slicer indeed. This coil will definitely help cut thru the some of the trashy areas around a lot of the barns and old houses I hunt. I will have to try it out in the field and play with the recovery setting. From what I've seen so far there may not even be a reason to run fast recovery on.

I've been using mine for a month and I love it! I've been trying different settings but in heavy trash I mostly run deep off and fast off. I've made finds in places I gave up on before.

I really like the closed design. I have the 6x8 sef and like it too but it seems to get hung on the limbs and briars alot plus it's a tad heavier. Supposed to be nice here today in Tn with highs in upper 50s. This may be the last day to hunt for a while with rain/snow coming. So it's time to start scarring the cover on the X-5!
