receiver compatability

Andrew: I use Maptech terrain navigator with a Garmin Etrex but have been looking at the Lowrance Ifinder lately. However tne Ifinder is not one of the gps units listed under the Lowrance list. Do you think it would be compatable with my Maptech program?

Not sure if it can read / write Lowrance usr files. If not than, the software could not read / write directly Lowrance waypooints, routes and tracks. You'd need to find an intermediate software to do that. Possibly the free WinG7To could do the job. - I don't have this software.
For real time display (If Terrain Navigator has such function)it would surely work - iFinders output position is standard NMEA format so any NMEA compatible software can use that.
