Record setting day for me! BIG SILVER X2

well I have been in a silver slump now for quite awhile. And today that all ended in a big way. My buddy and I went knocking doors, we stopped and got permission at a larger 1800's brick house. The first few feet into the yard I got the buffalo nickel, that was a good sign, then wheat after wheat. I knew there had to be silver and I wanted it!

I walked along the sidewalk and got a solid 07-47 on my etrac. I was thinking no way this could be a half dollar! well it was a 1895 barber half. I was pumped because this is my first ever barber half and I also ended my silver slump. I stood up and the next signal about a foot from the barber half I get another solid 07-47.........I am thinking this can't be happening.....another half!? well it was a 1918-s Walker. I was on cloud nine.

Walked around a bit more scored 2 rosies in one hole, then a 1918 merc dime, 1904 injun, and finished up the day with a silver war nickel.

Turned into a 6 silver day! I won't forget this hunt for awhile!

Great finds, congrats on an amazing silver hunt!!

Good hunt Terry. Great bunch of silver. Still too dry to be doing any digging here. But the good news is that some of the corn will have to be chopped, opening up the fields much sooner than usual. HH Randy

That's one heck of a way to end a drought --- still waiting for my first Barber Half, has been on my "Most Wanted" list for a long time.....................
