I have been out of town over on Zeekeys side of the pond for a week, and boys, let me tell you, its some rough digging over there! The ground is some sort of clay and chert mixture, with some iron thrown in. I've got it pretty easy over here in the sand, anyway, went out this am to my beaches and got these two in the same scoop at the towel line. It was a real "bastard" signal, and since it was still dark, I dont know the TID, the gold is 10k 2,2gr. and the silver is 925 2.8gr. I grabbed a little over 10 bucks in clad from Wisconsin, but it wasn't easy. I found a plug somebody else had cut laying upside down on the ground about a foot from the hole, and there was a quarter in the plug! Looked to be about a week old, I know it wasn't one of Zeeks jobs, since he woulda never missed that!
Good to be back and see you are all doing well! HH

WTG great finds , always fun to get a 2 fer.

 Ok Mud I told you to come to WI. It is good hunting. A little hard digging right now. Even wayupnorth says, never seen so many coins when we go hunting.
Gad that guy is all over the place. I hope this guy gets his digging tool stuck in the ground and can never get it out. When I was out today he hit a park and left all the trash and never covered his holes. But he dug just so close the a 30" 925 necklace I don't know how he missed it?
That is some nice detecting Mud. Great ring finds. I think I will have to come over on your side and try some easy diggings. Happy Trails....Z

Thanks fellers, I was needing this...its been a little while since I've found nought but clad..'course, I havn't had to buy a cigarrette lighter or a pair of sunglasses in over a year so thats good. We should be coming into some great morning beach sweeps up here now that summer is in full swing. Good Luck all.
