RNB Battery question

Hi,

Got one of these last week and so far after at least 3 hours every day it still shows 3/4 charge! One of the best accessories you can get, I think.

Question: Should I let it drain all the way out before recharging it, should I just recharge it whenever I have time, or does it matter?

You can top it off whenever you want. I am suprised you showed any charge loss in only 3 hours. I have put as many as 8 hrs on my battery and still have full bars. It is the best accessory for the Etrac available. I sold my stock rechargeables and rarely need to charge the RNB. Typical American ingenuity...exceeds your expectations every time. If it was made in China, it would last 15 minutes , break and start your machine on fire for 10 times the price!

I have had one for quite a while and it will not harm the battery at all if you charge it when ever you like. The great thing about the RNB is it only takes 2 hours for complete charge and in my case last about 30 to 40 hours of in field use ! So, you can wait until it shows one bar or charge it now if it makes you more comfortable. Happy hunting.

Thanks for the helpful response. To clarify, I used it 3 hours every day for a week before it showed any loss of charge. Incredible!

I agree, they are a great thing to add to the e-trac. I have read that they do not develop memory like some older batteries. So, no need to discharge all the way.

RnB's are fantastic! I don't hunt as much as I used to, But when I do, I go on a binge. Have had my (2) RnB's since they came out and can hunt over 25 hours and no loss of power, or even a one bar drop. Have only had to charge when first new. The second one is in my EX ESII......nge

Another nice thing is the slow discharge rate when it sits unused. If you don't get out much of won't drain between hunts.

The best thing that's come out for the ET,

Do not discharge the battery fully , charge it from 2 notches but 1 if you have too. I charge every 30 hours whatever the level, mine lasts well past that.
