Roots cause problems

try a multi-tool with a saw blade its seems to work really well, especially when i'm trying to keep my plug small. good to see you have some nice finds for all your work.

Great determination to get that Barber out of those roots. I respect that effort as I'll get bloodied up if I have to but I'm getting whatever it is out of the roots.

Continued success on your hunts this spring and summer- each day gets you closer to Mass!

Have you tried something like this?
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100541220&N=10000003+90050+502649
I have one and it works pretty good for sawing roots. I had to spend a little time sharpening the tip of it the way I wanted it though.

toy4runr...The URL you provide sent me to a product error information page. Thought I'd let you know in case you missed entering it. Regards!

See if this one works. The tool I'm trying to show you guys is the Ames TrueTemper 7 in 1 garden tool. You can get it at Home Depot/Lowes for about $12. It's $18 at Ace. This is a crappy picture of it. It is a good tool for cutting roots, but the point leaves something to be desired as far as digging a hole. But it does do the trick until I find something better.

THIS WORKS VERY WELL
