Went to the housing complex we had been hunting this year. I decided to give the playground behind it a try, while Dad finished the last front yard. I was doing pretty good and was moving towards the next slide when all of a sudden I got a solid signal for a nickel at about 4 inches down. As soon as I pulled that nickel out of the ground I knew it wasn't an ordinary nickel. It was just too shiny. It was a 1943-P War Nickel!!!
Finally after two yrs. I had found my 1st silver coin!!!
Todays totals:
Me:
$7.27
3 wheaties( 1942, 1944,1950)
1943-P War Nickel
5 toy cars
1990 Korean coin
1993 dog tag
$1 coin
Dad:
$6.52
4 wheaties( 1940, 1945, 1951-D, 1952-D)
1964 dime
U.S. button
1983 rabies tag
Fake gold ring

Wow! A war nickel for you!
Man, I've only found a couple of those ever in my life! Those are very few and far between. May these silvers be the first of many for both you and dad!
Thanks for sharing!
Nice pics!
