Found with my Ace 250 at an old Boy Scouts camp that has been closed since the 60's. Now the land is part of a forest preserve in IL.

circa 203ad found in Dartmouth .

I found this at the Clark Mansion in my town or "AKA" the museum. I have always loved indian head pennies, this was the first one I have ever dug, and probably the nicest condition one I will ever dig too.

As you can tell by my name digadime69 is the favorite coin to find with a metal detector. I have found hundreds of merc.dimes.
But the 16d is the ownly one I have yet to find. My best find I think is an 1840s RR baggage check. Valued at $200.00 to $400.00
by Mark Parker. Thank you for letting me rambull on. Don

I think I remember that baggage tag. Was it from Dunkirk NY?

That is about as nice as they come!

Sorry I can not post a picture yet, our digital camera has gone on to better places and we have not replaced it yet. My favorite find so far has to be a small zipper pull with the words "hello Kitty" on it. My daughter Bethany is fond of the "Hello Kitty" stuff and there is a running joke in our family about it. She happen to be with us on the day I found it. I had dug a hole and uncovered it, laughed when I saw it and called her over rather excitedly. She came over very reluctantly expecting another coin or piece of trash. Her face lit up when she saw the "Hello Kitty" words stamped on the tag. I keep the tag in my case if first finds because it is special to both of us.

Large cent at park section of orchard beach, very rare to find these here.... 1848 large cent.... hee haa... Thanks Mike!!

Dug this "Arguilette" a couple years back at an old CW fort. The cannon soldiers wore it on their uniform and in the event the enemy was about to overtake them they would jam it into the fuse hole of the cannon and bend it so the cannon could not be used - especially on them as they ran away !
Today's officers still wear these attached to the braids on the shoulder.

The larger button on the right is a great coat button and the other is a general service eagle button. Both from the 1800's. steve in so az
