Safari depth

Hello metaldetectorguy i cant say to much about quarters they average anywhere between 6 and 10 inches but im sure they can be detected deeper i can hit a large cent at 12 inches no problem. Hope this helps.

That's a hard question to answer because it is soil dependent. In the ground I hunt in, I can hit a quarter at 6 to 8 inches. In better soil, it will hit deeper. The safari is a deep hitter so that should not be an issue. Soil is the issue, Also trashy areas can cause masking. The safari is a pretty good detector but you need to go slow and be patient. It is easy to learn and use.

I've dug deep clad quarters (and a few silver GW's) down to 6" but they don't seem to be any deeper than this in my neck of the woods. The one thing for sure is you know when you are over one... they scream out much more than the smaller coins.
