Safari pinpoint tells alot

I've noticed something very cool about my Safari . I have only owned it for a month. I've noticed that when I pinpoint over cans or can slaw, the pinpoint audio produces a loud screaming tone. It does not do this over coins or jewelry.

Is this normal? I hope so, because I pass by those pinpoint signals that are loud and screaming.

I agree, once I'm in pin-pointing mode and the screaming starts more than a foot above the target, that indicates to me a larger than a coin-sized object. I usually dig, as I usually hunt in fields and woods with short handle shovel. Hey,you never know.....

Yeah that's normal. for large items especially if they are shallow. I love the Pinpoint you can tell the size of the item when pinpointing swing side to side to find the edges of the target.
