Hey Fog, excellent video. I really enjoyed the filming of the safari's screen and tones. Nice transitions and insets. May I suggest a long colored golf tee to mark your spot while you get the camera ready. That way you can easily find the spot again. Just a thought.
The first video wouldn't let me in, something about content from EMI and copyright laws.
Wish we had areas that old around me. Looking forward to more!!!!

Fog-

The first vid is unviewable because "This video contains content from EMI, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. "
Second vid was nice colonial hunt. Glad to see you came away with some relics, though the coins weren't cooperating that day. Saw you were running in coin mode, but couldn't tell if you had customized/cross saved. Thanks for posting and providing your stats near the end.

Sorry guys, there's 15 seconds of acoustic guitar in the first video that is from a Pink Floyd song so youtube blocked the entire 7 minutes of the video. I will fix it later on tonite and re-upload. Kschae4, yep its custom coin mode, no crosssaving.

Great video! I subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work. HH

Fog,

Nice video, fun to watch, as an ex Jazz pianist I loved some of your background music and as an ex-Masshole I loved your accent.

Great touch showing the screen and letting us hear all the tones.

Thanks,
TomH

Fixed the video... what a pain in the butt!

You'll find the coins when you figure the approach to the house and where the horses were saddled and mounted...

Good luck!

The Fog.....excellent productions and I love the background music and the sense of humor you skillfully introduced at the appropriate moments!! Looking at the hole that someone else left for you to fill in reminded me of an experience I had recently when 2 park officials that I was not aware of that followed me around observing what I was doing then finally came up and commended me for doing what I was doing the "proper way" so we should always fill our holes in for many reasons that have all been mentioned by many before. H.H. and I hope you find the coins your looking for!!!

Very nice video Fog. Those folks that don't fill their holes back in leave a lot to be desired and its the same people that leave their garbage at the picnic sites, trash along a stream where they fish, shot gun hulls all over the place after a day of bird hunting....we all know the type and they're such great role models for kids....not even

Thanks folks. I'm putting another video together, I'm going out all day sat and sunday to new areas and hope to score an old colonial coin. Yep treasurebum, they are all of the same ilk. It sends such a bad message, one person can ruin a spot for everyone .

I lived in Salt Lake City for almost all of 2010 (long story I'd like to forget) and for half of the time I've Metal Detected
as I just discovered this wonderful hobby in September 2010.

While hunting every minute I could, I also met several other very nice Detectorist and during a conversation, one guy in peticular told me, the city of Ogden had just banned MD'ing in the city limits, due to folks (slobs) leaving plugs open in the cities lawns.

Apparently the City Government got tired of the complaints and did something about it. The people responsible for the damages and closures probably said to themselves and others, "Oh, that'll never happen here" They probably also still don't take responsibility for their actions.

And here's another one.
Have you ever hunted with someone who has no trash at the end of the day? The answer is always the same, "I'm not picking that crap up and getting dirty...I just put it back in the hole" :ranting:

That burns my behind worse than a 3 foot flame, there is a city here in western,MA that has banned detecting in its parks and ball fields because of inconsiderate people who left the places looking like battle fields. It certainly does give us a bad rap. Oh yeah those were great videos Fog, I hope to get out in the woods tommorrow. Who knows maybe I'll find that old coin. HH Ron
