Could someone please comment on their experiences and preferences of the 10 and 8 inch coils.

I have only used the 10 1/2 coil but it works so well i don't think i would go to the 8. I only use it at the beach so it covers more ground and it is super deep, the waves move it a little bet but not bad. Now if you are working in tight spaces the the 8 would work better.
