Did pretty well this weekend. I went detecting with a buddy of mine named Tim Pazdernik on Saturday and Rick(ND) finally met us at an old Town Hall. Finally I got to detect with the First Place Finisher of the Find of the Month for this year. I ended up getting 2nd Place and I was always on his tail till the end. Well, let's just say that Tim's oldest coin for Saturday was a 1961 Jefferson Nickel. That's right, that was his oldest! The members in the Club will know what kind of a shock this would mean when they read this. Let's just say I kicked his butt pretty good. On Saturday I found 3 Merc's, 2 Wheat's, 1 Buffalo Nickel, 1 Jefferson War Nickel, 4 Indian Heads, along with an old Belt Buckle, 2 Thimbles stuck together, Part of an old Print Plate, Some Tin Pin of sorts that says American Junior Red Cross, and a Whatzit. Rick(ND) found a 1910 Wheat Penny the first 15 Minutes there but didn't find any other old coins. Better Luck next time Rick. Saturday turned out good and it was a short 4 Hour Hunt. I got 1 Dateless Canadian Quarter with the King on the Front that was the length of the Probe Deep, 3 Merc's, 1 Roosevelt Dime, a weird Token, 2 older Canadian Pennies, 23 Wheat's, and a Silver 1945 Class Ring but it isn't much of a Ring anymore. So here is what the totals are. I found 8 Silver (not including the War Nickel) which included 1 Canadian Quarter without a date, 6 Mercury Dimes dated 1916-s,1917,1918,1943-d,1944, and1945-d, and 1 Roosevelt Dime dated 1947-d. I found 2 Nickels which were 1 Buffalo Nickel dated 1914 (Due to the ground being frozen the first 2"-3" early in the morning, I nailed this Nickel with the Lesche) and 1 Jefferson War Nickel dated 1943-P. I also found a Weird Token. It says on the Front V A N A K C O R P every other spacing and says Pat Pend in the middle. The Back only has the first part and not Pat Pend. I also found 2 Older Canadian Pennies and both are dated 1932. I also found 4 Indian Heads dated (2)1896,1903 (in very bad shape), and 1907. I found yet another 25 Wheat Pennies dated 1919-s,1922-d,1927-d,1929-d,1930-d,1932-d,1933-d,1935-d,1936-d,1938-d,1939,1940,1940-s,1941-d,(3)1944-d,1945-d,1946-d,1949-d,(2)1952-d,1953,1953-d, and 1958-d. The other Pic's will follow shortly below for the other finds I made.
