Went out with my girlfriend to a local house site on Sat.and nailed a nice 42 Walking Liberty half in the front yard,my first of this type with a metal detector. Also found a bunch of clad.Had about an hour to kill and hit up an old cellar hole tonite and got a great 12-46 quarter signal and out popped this 1818 Matron head large cent, also my first of this type with a M.D.This is my 20th old copper since June of this year.
I love my E-Trac!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always thought the Walking Liverty Half Dollar was one of the prettiest coins ever minted. Nice job and great finds.

That sure is one beautiful coin. Your ETRAC must have sang like a choir when it hit that baby...what numbers did it come in at?

I got that same 1818 matron head too a few weeks ago - been soaking in the olive oil for two weeks now..
