Please enjoy our just released video which announces the collaboration between the Southampton Historical Museum and the Artifact Detecting Team.

Great video. What an excellent light will be shed on the metal detecting hobby through your efforts .

I lived in Southampton for many years and my relatives live on Gin Lane, on the water. Very familar with all those historic sites. Unfortunatly I didn't get into metal detecting untill after I moved.

Picture of family home in Southampton.

The area is absolutely gorgeous and that cut beach doesn't look too shabby either....that house on the ocean looks like it's in the 10 digit category...

Great PR work. I fear we are still in the squabbling stage with the archeologists around here. I just might be biased, but the problem lies within the archeologists rather than the MD community. Reaching out and offering cooperation is somewhat like what is happening in DC. One side is the party of No and the other party is??? well you decide what to name it. Excatly the same thing between MDing community and 'Most' archeologists. We'll keep at it. jim
