Hit a field hockey field that they were working over with a tractor rototilling the top 4" preparing it for new grass. Found this Sterling Silver ring & 1911 V nickel. Was only there for about 1 hr before the guy came to start working it again today with the tractor & had to leave.
 
Great finds.THose V-nickles are a nice looking coins.Found a few myself.Hard to get one in good shape though.You should try to get back there again sonnds like a great chance to find some keepers.
 
Yeah it's rare to find a V nickel in good shape. I think I have about 8 & only 1 is in great condition, the others are fried
