I seal the gap between the coil and coil cover on all my coils before ever being used. Will prevent the dust and dirt from getting in and keeps the bottom of your coil like new. If you ever need to replace the cover you just cut the seal and redo it. Thanks for looking.

My 6x8 SEF, it has been sealed, you just have to look closely to see it...

This is what you want to use, it can be found at Menards or Lowes for a few dollars. You dont want silicone cause it will stay rubbery dust and dirt will stick to it and it will eventually wear off...
