Back to the same area of the park that has been producing well paid off again today.
Until this year, I had only found 2 seated liberty coins with my Explorer. I was even shut out in 2001 and 2002. In the last 4 weeks I have been lucky enough to dig 3 seated liberty dimes and a seated quarter. The latest was today's 1856 (oldest seated liberty dime I've dug) found close to a power transformer that causes all kinds of havoc with the Explorer. I was lucky to hear a good tone over the constant interference from the transformer. Also nailed an 1882 Indian head in the same area. The rest of the mornings finds included 1896 and 1905 Indian heads cents and a few wheat cents. Yesterday I dug the 1873, 1890 and 1905 Indian head cents in the same general area that Charles and I have been pounding for the last few weeks.
