Seated Quarter and Shield Nickel, Long time no post.

Hello all, not sure if I've posted on the new version of this Forum. Sure did like the old style better.

Just got back from a construction site in a nearby town. Wanted to see if more dirt had been moved. Too late.

I found these two on previous expeditions. This is my sixth seated quarter; three of them are dated 1877, my first ever was an S mint mark, as is this one, one CC. What are the odds?

The nickel is 1866.

Getting a little rain here, but otherwise the soil is like concrete.

Congratulations on those very cool coins!

I got an 1877 in a construction site this year as well, first ever. Also found two seated dimes all within 10 feet of each other.
