Hit a old area that has given alot of easy silver. Went back with the Safari for first time and knew anything of value would be over 6". This ring hit 38-39 and clear, loud sound at around 7". Used the 11" Pro even though alot of trash. My first silver with my new machine but not my last. Its beginning to grow on me. I found by putting in all metal before I use noise canceling has really helped with ID and noise. Tip from use of 705. I have used the cross saving patterns to check finds before I dig so I can learn MD.

Yep things change...even class rings are not gold anymore...assume it must be sterling silver to hit that high but have seen the new class ring with mixed mettalic content...Don't remember what I paid for mine in 56 but was a hardship on my parents. With gold prices today????....Only had my Quattro out several times but a piece of cake to learn as used 3 models of Explorers and just love the audio of Conductive...

If you're inclined, that ring if initialed, should be fairly easy to return to the owner..
I had the personal satisfaction of a returning a 1964 men's Columbia HS (Maplewood, NJ) ring to the rightful owner 2 yrs ago that I found in Long Branch, NJ. The guy (residing in Florida) lost the ring when just out of high school on the beach and received it from me in time to bring to his 45th anniversary high school reunion...He certainly had a story to share with his former classmates.
