sensitivity on e-trac

HI folks brand-new to this forum and just bought my e-trac hav had safari and explorer se as well I was wondering about the sensitivity having problems with the +123 and -123 just dont get it help please

The E-Trac will pick a sensitivity in "Auto" that it feels is best for the conditions. If you select +1, it will run one notch higher that the selected setting in "auto". For example, if the machine chooses 22 in auto sensitivity and you select +1, it will run at 23. Make sense?

I know it was a stupid question but thanks I get it now also found first silver here in utah where I hunted many times before I am amazed with this e-trac

Are you using cond multi tones? I too switched from EXP II where I had it figured out. Now I'm having a little issue switching. I used Ferrous and could tell what was below the ground... not with the ET and maybe never as good as the EXP II. Whatta ya think.
P.S. I also found my first silver on the first hunt( 2 hrs)... nothing special, but a 1952 dime. Thanx, Mike

I hunt in cond.multi tone I liked the se but the e-trac has somuch to offer like it is a bit more stable in trash and the mask is more advanced but I'm digging alot of phantom holes but the same thing happened with my safari and the se till I learn the curve but the signals i getting are good and it pinpoints good to but no treasure what the heck;.,;'k.,;liu

I always run mine now in 28 to 30 sensitivity in manual no matter where I'm at not unless there are a lot of wires overhead then I'll back it down. I've seen it and no doubt in my mind the higher senstivity on shallow almost masked out by trash coins is a winner. Maybe I'm superstitious also but I run my noise cancel at 2 all the time, I've learned to put up with the little extra noise from the machine for the finds I have been digging. Just what I do.................:minelab:
