A is auto without any minus or plus.

I think the majority of people who use the auto mosty use it on +3.

best to run as high as you can without getting alot of falses,,,,

I normally run auto plus 3 on most sites, it gets me in mid 20's, sometimes I run manual if I am at a site site like a public park or ball field where I am no longer getting hits, this helps me get the deeper targets other machines missed

I use all the time Manual, but its all ways down and up and when I look to Auto suggested its very similar. its look in iron you can use Auto without + or -.in clean places forget to look what Etrac says.
