Finds are from the past few weekends since my last post. All finds were pulled from public city parks with my XP Deus II metal detector.
That morgan silver dollar was a great surprise and certainly made my day. It was about 9 inches deep and almost on complete edge and surrounded by iron and junk.
It was pulled Saturday in a North Dakota city park. The temp was only 25 degrees and windy but that find sure warmed me up.
The signal was skewed down to about 89-91 so I thought it may be a silver dime or deep screw cap. When I first pulled it out of the hole, I just
saw the rim and thought I had a half dollar but soon realized it was bigger which got me excited. The 1945 silver quarter was pulled in the same general area about 100 feet away.
Most of the other finds came from Southern Minnesota city parks on a Saturday casino trip meeting my brothers.
That Saturday was a 5-silver day. See finds in my hand pic for that.
The 1908 Philippines Centavo was very deep, and I was glad to get that as I never pulled that exact variety of coin before.
That sharp 1920 Merc was pulled the same day.
The small 'gold shell' ring and 1911 wheat penny were pulled from an hour hunt in Fargo's oldest park.
They were both very deep and had nails in the same hole. I was surprised that the wheat was not an Indian head, but it is an older date.
Thanks for looking!
Dave
