Short farm hunt, nice silver spill.....

I drive past this farm house everyday on the way home from work. I have stopped and knocked numerous times, but never have gotten an answer. Well today I see the lady on her porch and I whip around and go back. I ask permission and she gladly gives it to me. This place isn't super old but old enough for silver......maybe 1940's.

I went over the front and side yard, got some clad, one wheat and one rosie. Did the other side yard, picked up 3 more wheats and some clad, the marbles were in holes with coins. I get close to the mailbox and get a screaming 02-48 signal from both directions, it is reading 5" deep. I am hoping for silver.

Yep! 3 silver in one hole...wooHOOOO, silver washington, merc, and another silver rosie! Nice 3 silver spill, takes me to 194 silver. Getting 200 is bound to happen now!

Anyday my silver matches my wheat count, I am thrilled.

Very nice finds you have,200 should come for you in the next few days....Were you in auto or manual..if auto, what was it running?

Probably postal money that fell from the box or postal person back in the day. I remember my mother putting change in the mailbox for postage as she didn't have any stamp and they would take the mail and do it for you. Don't see that happening today oh and I'm not that old 53 so this was in the 60's or early 70's and before not too long ago.

NICE  Just having a bit of fun and nothing like pulling 2 or more silver out of same hole to get the old heart pumping !!
