Hey Mark, with that coat of arms look it could be Austrian or central Europe, Iowa said French could be that too.
Figuring out what language the wording is on it is hard. You may have to get on foreign coin website and just pour through
it. The wording is the key, I had a hard time figuring out the French coin I found, plus it was well worn! Great finds and that
one is really cool! Hopefully it turns out to be something really good, which I suspect might happen. I'll search around
a little too. Good luck!

Thanks Okie a guy I know who does digs for the Pequot tribe here in Ct is pretty good on coppers I don’t see a date on it and it’s not worn to bad

That is really cool Mark! I was looking at European coins for that coat of arms. Should of looked elsewhere.
Good catch! That is a large coin. Is the date 1819? Really good find any way you look at it! Awesome.

Man you could use that thing as a frisbee!

The one item that looks like a "D" with the middle out of it. Is it possible that it was used to strike a piece of flint to start a fire?

Wow, that’s one of those ones where you know you got something cool only to be left with more questions than answers once you ID it. That would make me super happy to find.

Congrats on that big old copper coin! Reading the replies, looks like you got it ID'd making it even cooler.
