Short schoolyard hunt today...

fwcrawford

Well-known member
After being busy trapping moles in my neighbor's yard last week, I decided to get out to detect a little today.
With gas prices rising, I did not want to travel far, so I decided to try a local high school for a while.
It ended up being a pretty good hunt.
I got two one dollar coins (first ones this year), a few quarters and what I believe to be nice silver ring.
I cannot find any marking inside the band, but did an ice cube test and the ring instantly froze to the ice cube.
Not sure how accurate the test is, but do not see any sign of plating and it is not magnetic.
TID was a solid 90 on my XTP.
Thanks for looking!!

You had a great day Felix! That ring looks like silver to me. I’m still looking at snow on the ground 😩
