Yesterday I was on one of my long roadtrips. I had some things to do way up north and when I got done with that I MDed my way home.
The first place I found was a block long sidewalk and street tear out. The street was dug down way too far to MD so I just hit the sidewalks and I found a real nice 1874 IH, a 46d Rosie and 2 wheat's.
Then I hit 2 different older schools and only found 2 wheat's at one of them. Both of those places were picked pretty clean.
The last place was another street tear out in the downtown area but they also had dug down too much for me to MD but there was a half block long area of sidewalk tore out in front of some houses. So I hit that and found a real nice 1944D war nickel in mint shape. It's the best war nickel I have ever found. I also found a 1911 V nickel, 2 Buff's, a 1919 , 1916s, a 1883 IH and 2 wheat's.
So I had a pretty good day when it comes to finding nickels
