Silver dime in the yard...

pplinker

New member
Had to stick close to home today and found this 1952 dime in the yard with my XP Deus and I was using CD Todd's program. Thank you, CD Todd. Anyway it came out real black looking but still different than clad. I dipped it in some silver cleaner for 10 sec like the directions say. Then I read a little further to see if I could stick it in again and noticed it said to only use on STERLING silver. That's in the small print but on the main label it says real big, SILVER cleaner. Now the dime was white looking but it was a powdery white. I rinsed it under running water and brushed it with a little brass wire brush and it shined up pretty good so I don't think the sterling silver cleaner hurt it any.

Any day you get Silver is a good day - you had a good day - congrats !

Congrats on the silver!

That CT_Todd program is pretty good, huh? Let's you hear the iron and the goodies.

Yes, I'm loving it!

Thanks for the kind comments, E-trac and Sataro.
