Got a good signal and dug down, retrieved some small iron piece's, rechecked the hole and still got a good signal, kept digging a little and probing with pin pointer till finally this came out. A Beautiful 1840 O Seated Liberty half dime, no drapery. You can imagine how thrilled I was. That cane field is slowly giving up some good finds!

If I hadn't regime over that row I wouldn't have gotten her, something told me to re sweep that row

Congrats on a killer find !

Nice coins love those seated coins!

Thanks, I knew there had to be some old silver in those cane fields. That half dime in such great shape helps make up for the seated liberty quarter I found there being cut in half, it was a 1840 also, ashamed they would sometimes cut those coins in half.

very nice!
