Hello once again fellow detectorists! Back with more goodies I was able to uncover from last Sat. & Sun. and hope you have been making some good finds when you all have been getting out. Let's get to it.
Saturday, Tim and I hooked up and decided to try out some Road Construction that I had come across last weekend. On the way there though, we got a bit side tracked but we got there later on. So.....the first site on the to hit list turned out to be where a School sat.
The yard looked pretty good on the School Site and didn't look to be disturbed at all. We started hunting on one side of the Gymnasium and it wasn't long until I had my first Wheatie for the day. I kept working and come across a nice Screamer that registered 28 on Digital on my XS and would go up to 30 at times. I checked the Depth Meter and it showed about 8" Deep. I knew it was Silver but didn't bother with checking Smart Find to verify what it would be so I got down and dug a plug. I removed some dirt and tried the X-1 Probe and the target sang loud and clear directly at the bottom of the hole. I angled back the Lesche Digger and loosened up another 4" or so of soil at the bottom and pulled the dirt out. I checked the hole and the Signal was gone. I then checked the dirt and pushed some soil away and was rewarded with a Washington Quarter dated 1935-s. Not a bad way to start out the day that's for sure.
I then told Tim I just got a '35 Washington and that got him excited since we both knew there could be anything here. We continued hunting and did all the way around the area that we could. Tim got a Merc, a Rosie, a Silver Quarter and some Wheaties. I got a Play Coin, a Merc and a few more Wheats. It was a fun way to start the day out at this spot and we knew that other spots near this location must have some stuff also.
So we headed down to a Church to see if there was anything there. We hunted this for about 15 minutes and I was the only one to find a Coin, which was a '44 Wheatie. We then packed it in and headed to our original destination.
We drove around a bit to see what we had to detect and there was a little bit of Road Construction that I had seen the weekend before so we parked the car and proceeded to hit the dug up boulevards. We hunted this area for about 2 hours or so and Tim was finding a bit more than I was since he chose to take the side that was less dug up and disturbed like my side was. Anyways, we hunted in this muddy area and Tim found a few Injuns, 2 V-Nickels, 2 War Nickels, a few Wheats, a Token, a really cool Watch Fob item, and a nice Old Small Bottle. I found a few Injuns, a few Wheats, a Merc and the prize for the day which ended up being in the last part of the boulevard........an 1891-O Seated Dime!
When I uncovered the Coin, I seen the back first so I thought it was going to be a Barber Dime but was rewarded to see Seated on the other side. 
I then told Tim what I got and then left the Seated for the last to mention. He couldn't believe that I was lucky enough to pop a Seated out and he still hasn't gotten a Seated this year which really added to his agony.
We then decided to head back towards a Park that we have driven by a few times and never tried. We got out and I found a Wheatie within the first couple minutes. Tim got lucky and for his first target was rewarded with a well worn 1892-O Barber Dime.
This would turn out to be the only Barber Coin found during Saturday which was a bummer since that was all I needed to find for the Dime Slam!
We continued hunting and Tim was finding a few Injuns and a Wheatie or 2. I couldn't come across anything that read Deep enough to be Old which was really starting to bother me. I then decided to head over to another section of the Park and finally come across a Merc. I then continued on and found a Wheatie or 2. I worked my way over to the far end of the Park and started to find a few more keepers here. I got a Buffalo Nickel, then a Wheatie. Then another Wheatie. Then a Roosevelt Dime shows it's self. I then got an nice 28 on Digital that showed a good 8" Deep and dug a Plug. In this one hole, I was rewarded with not 1........but 2 goodies! A 1928 Standing Liberty Quarter with a 1938 Washington Quarter. This really got me motivated and I started working the spot hard.
I then come across another Rosy with a Merc only about 6" away. This place was loaded!!! And to think that we passed this thing up several times in the past heading to other locations. Tim then yells over to me and tells me he just found a Walker! Darn you Tim!!!! You have too many Halves this year!!! Next time.....please just practice Catch and Release like fishing so I can get one alright!
About 10 minutes later, Tim then yells over to me that he just found 4 Silver Roosevelt Dimes and a War Nickel in the same hole. 
Why you lucky little $@#%!@! We continued hunting and Tim continued pulling Coins. It was a hit and miss situation for me so it was Tim's turn to rake in the finds but at least we all got a bunch of goodies from this Park. After pounding this Park, we decided to head over to a Town and see what it had to offer since it was getting late in the day.
We drove around this Smaller Town and located a City Park. We got out and started searching it hoping that it was loaded just like the other one we were just at. We found out that there were few and far between Targets here but we continued on. I was able to pull an Injun, a few Wheats and a Silver Roosevelt Dime that should have been Barber since it was a good 8"-10" Deep. I even got a Clad Dime this Deep in another section which really aggravated me since all I wanted was one lonely little Barber Dime. Tim found a few Wheats here also. We then were stopped by a fellow that lived over by the Park and was told about a Treasure Story that he knew of. He went on telling me and Tim that there was suppose to be a Bag of Old Coins buried on his property. The person that lived there prior to the present owner supposedly buried this Bag of Coins for his kid to find a long time ago. Neither the Kid or the Father could locate where they were buried and there has been 2 previous attempts to find them with a Metal Detector but not sure what kind or if it was just a cheapy. Anyways, the Kid is now all grown up and even offered to purchase the property from the present owner due to the fact the Cache was never found and is still there somewhere. The owner told us if we wanted to hunt the property to go ahead and if anything was found, we would do an even split so Tim and I will be going out on Saturday and with a lot of Luck.....hope to bring back some of this Buried Treasure if we can find it that is and also go check out another almost extinct town we heard of that had 3 Ball Diamonds at one time and where another detectorist has supposedly found 3 Gold $2 1/2 Pieces at. Now wouldn't that be fun!
Sunday, I got out for a bit and only was able to find a few keepers. I got a Merc and only a couple Wheats along with 2 Toy Cars and a few other Misc. Items. I'm hoping to give this next weekend a good go and hope to uncover more Silver since I am now only 60 Silver shy of my personal best for Silver during 1 Season which is 323. Let the Countdown begin!
Total Silver Finds for the weekend were 14. They were 1 Standing Liberty Quarter dated 1928, 2 Washington Quarters dated 1935-s,1938, 1 Seated Dime dated 1891-o (Got your Seated again Eddie!), 6 Mercury Dimes dated 1923,1934,1937,(2)1943-d, 1944-d and 4 Roosevelt Dimes dated 1946-d,1948-d,1961-d and 1964. I found 2 Nickels and they turned out to be 2 Buffalo Nickels (just what Tim didn't get since he got 2 V-s and 2 War Nickels....how crazy is that???
) dated 1930 and 1937. 3 Indian Head Pennies were found also and they are dated 1899,1900 and 1906. I also found 1 Canadian Penny dated 1939. I also found 3 Junk Tokens. One has a Clown dancing on the front and on the reverse has a Horseshoe and Star, one that has an Eagle that reads No Cash Value on top and bottom and on the reverse reads This Is My Lucky Day, and the other has an Eagle on the front and on the back it reads No Cash Value. I also found a Uncle Sam Play Dime dated 1957. For Wheats, I dug another 45 of them. They are dated 10,17,(3)18,(2)20,23,25,26-d,28,(2)29,30-d,35,35-d,37,(3)40,40-d,40-s,42-d,(3)44,44-d,44-s,45,(3)45-d,(2)46-d,46-s,47-d,(3)49-d,51-s,52-d,56-d and (3)58-d. Misc. Items included 3 Keys, a Football Pendant, another piece from Costume Jewelry, a Toy Truck and Car, a Clasp with the Pat. Date of Dec. 13 1895, a Copper Ring and a Girls Watch. I also dug 28 Quarters, 42 Dimes, 9 Nickels and 58 Pennies....all Clad. That and about 60 Junk Targets!

Just can't dig enough of them Seated to keep a person satisfied either so that is another reason they are Super Special when found. Thanks for the reply Neal and Good Luck and HH to you on your next outing.
