Found a teaspoon today that is clearly plated with something. The spoon was about four inches or so down, and rang in consistently from 06-12 to 09-12.
I would expect silver plated flatware to ring in much higher. I suspect this may be some sort of nickel plating instead of silver plating. Anyone ever found silver plate? If so what were your numbers?
Sorry for the fuzzy pic. Spoon in question has nothing on it besides the maker's trademark (Glastonbury Silver Co., in business from 1920-1950).
