Silver Quarters.... at last!

I've been hunting for my first silver quarter for a year now, and today I got two! I went to a place I've shot lots of times with clad success, and since its really close to home, I went there this afternoon just to play around. Remember those "bastard" signals we all have been talking about digging more of? This was one of them...I got a weird tone that had quarter in it, but it was not solid, more like a stack, or junk, but as I stabbed around with the probe, I hit this object that felt like a tin can top about 4" deep. I stood up and walked away without digging it, and hit a modern quarter about 6' away, then, I thought, dang, that sound over there sure was weird...so I went back, probed again, reamed the hole out enough to get a finger down it, and pulled up this bit of plastic, and there inside was a Quarter! Of course I rubbed it and looked at the date...1943! I stood up and recanned, and bang! another signal in the hole! Here is a 1945 too! The little coin purse has a brass snap on it, so it was adding its input to the metal detector as well...learned several lessons today,,,one, dig and retrieve all trash, dont rub coins, and never walk away from those weird signals again!
disc 15, sens 60, thresh -3, DE mode, delta pitch...
