Silver settings ctx3030

Hello fellow ctx users I would like to get some settings for my new ctx I have some awesome places that I know hold some deep silver what are some suggestions I just permission to a school house that was built in 1804 I know there are some awesome coins here please help me out I'm strictly looking for silver the coppers here come out toasted.
I just got the machine so any help you can give I really appreciate it thanks again steve
 
Check out the ctx classroom forum. You'll find some great patterns to choose from. Just kinda depends on your ground and such. Me personally... I use one of diggers I slightly modified.
 
If you are using Grd - Coin or Ferrous -Coin Separation, its going to be tough telling the difference between large cents and big silver as the TIDs are very similar. (12/44 - 46) If you are using High Trash or Low Trash, silver dollars and halves will generally provide a 01 or 02 Ferrous, instead of following the 12 line. The LCs will usually just drop to FE 11. Unfortunately, so does the FE number on dimes and quarters. It is important to note that TID values will also vary with site conditions, the "angle" the target is buried, adjacent targets etc. So I recommend you don't use specific TID values to determine whether you want to dig a target or not. I know you say the coppers are toasted. But if it were me, I'd dig them all and sort them out after I got home. JMHO HH Randy
 
Only problem is on smaller silver coins is that they overlap with copper/bronze pennies. Any signals from 12-36 and up you better dig, you might pass a silver by thinking its a penny.
 
In my opinion the magic number is 1804. That being said I would dig any good sounding target. You should find some nice coins and relics. May be some old gold coins around there also which will be a mid to low tone. Good luck sounds like you have found a great spot to hunt. HH :minelab:
 
I agree with the above statements... any of those deep repeatable signals could be good. I'd hunt it in a combined mode (ferrous-coin) to make sure that you get around the iron nails and trash that's sure to be there. Good luck!
