Rob had some spectacular finds! He found a V nickel (1907) and it's in really great shape. He also found a beautiful crotal bell, a couple of Indian head pennies (1905 and 1886). Now that's an old Indian,1944 Merc and a Sterling silver baby ring.
Remember how I was without a large cent for a year and then I found my first Matron head beauty? Well 5 days later, I found another large cent (1857). She was a little rough but sure found that amusing and exciting. Crazy how that happens sometimes. I just wish the Standing Liberty Quarter will arise for me now. Sheesh!! Rob already has 4 of those too. I was also lucky enough to get a few silvers over the weekend, two Mercs and a Rosie.
I got out this evening after work and tried a spot that was recommended, I didn't find anything but that was probably my own fault. I was getting a bit frustrated so I left and went to one of my trusty spots where I found a few silvers. Within 10 minutes, I found a Washington silver quarter and 1941 Merc in the same hole (must be because Rob was with me in spirit). Then on my way back to the car...got a terrific signal all kinds of good numbers popping up. I was excited to dig and BOOM 4 Rosies in the same hole. YES!! 6 silver in like one hour. This is the same place, I found 2 Rosies and a Merc in same hole. I love this place.
